FIU Libraries Digital Resources Advisory Group (DRAG)

This Group has two basic functions:

  • •For library units to consult, evaluate, prioritize, and cooperate on any and all digital projects, with attention to funding opportunities, technological needs, digital standards, intellectual property matters, and long-term sustainability.
  • •To coordinate the annual work plans of library units collaborating on a digital project.

It meets when necessary to consider new proposals and twice a year to review ongoing projects.

Its membership includes the heads of Digital Collections Center, Geographic Information Systems, LACIC, Reference and Instructional Services, Special Collections, Government Documents, Cataloging, Sound and Image Resources, and Library Systems; and the three associate directors.  It may include other librarians.  It is chaired by the Head of the Digital Collections Center.
