About DigiTeam

The DigiTeam Metadata Initiative is an all-volunteer, cooperative, cross-departmental effort of the FIU Libraries launched in May 2007. Members of DigiTeam share a common objective to produce high-quality, effective and useful descriptive metadata for institutionally-digitized resources in order to improve information retrieval for our users. Activities of DigiTeam include: needs assessment ; informal discussion and brainstorming ; participation in training sessions ; and building a shared clearinghouse of expertise and resources.
